Zelda Diorama

This diorama is from the very first Zelda game: The Legend of Zelda. It was a game viewed from the top. That's what makes this diorama interesting too. Normally, dioramas are screens from a game that's played from the side.
So go ahead and try this cute craft. Even if it's just to get back some nostalgic feelings from the early days. Oh yes... back when we were young...

Golden Sun diorama

It's been a while since we had a diorama posted. Back when I just started with papercrafting, I always disliked these. But I discovered that the power of these dioramas can't be captured in a picture. You have to see them in real life to see how awesome they actually are. So if you've never built a diorama, just give it a try. It might give you a nice surprise once it's finished!

This particular diorama is from the game Golden Sun:
Golden Sun's story follows a band of magic-attuned "adepts" who are sent from their home town into the wide world of Weyard to prevent the potentially destructive power of alchemy from being released as it was in the past. Along the way the adepts gain new abilities, help out the local populations, and learn more about why alchemy was sealed away. The story continues in a sequel, Golden Sun: The Lost Age.

Have fun!

Yoshi's House diorama

Here's a nice diorama from Super Mario World: it's Yoshi's house :D

Yoshi's House (also known as Yoshi's Tree) is a tree where Yoshi lives during Super Mario World. This tree has a fireplace, a mail box and berries, and it is located in Yoshi's Island.

The 3D part of the diorama is doublesided, so you'll have to glue the tree parts and the mailbox back to back. Note that some of the tabs are too big (the pineapple thing for example), so you'll have to cut them smaller. Have fun!

Paper Mario Diorama

Just when we said we probably wouldn't do daily updates for a while, the new crafts are raining from the sky :p Here's a diorama; an official Nintendo craft! The Paper Mario diorama!

It's an easy craft, and shouldn't give you too much trouble. The craft comes with on-paper instructions too. You'll need a few toothpicks or something of the like to glue the characters on though.

Have fun!

New Bark Town Diorama

Hello, this model comes straight from the forums, user sora234 shares with us his diorama: New Bark Town.

This is the place where the adventure begins in PoKéMoN Gold, Silver and Cristal.

Here's where Prof. Elm gives you your first PoKéMoN, either Totodile, Cyndaquil or Chikorita, and where you find your rival peeking through the lab's window.

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest diorama

You're probably wondering what a Final Fantasy papercraft is doing on a Nintendo blog. It's really easy actually: This game came out for the SNES. In North America and Japan it was released by Square Soft (and Square Co), but in Europe, it was actually published by Nintendo.

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest was first released in North America in 1992 and marketed as a "simplified role-playing game...designed for the entry-level player" in an attempt to broaden the genre's appeal. The game's presentation and battle system is broadly similar to that of the main series, but it differed in its inclusion of action-adventure game elements.
In the game, the player controls a youth named Benjamin in his quest to save the world. His goal is to reclaim a set of stolen crystals that determine the state of the world's four elemental powers.

Time for a Diorama. A Metroid diorama this time. I don't really know which game it's from, since I'm one of the few Nintendo fans that haven't played these games. Anyway, this papercraft is pretty awesome, so have fun building it!

Contra Stage

I've only played contra online once, and I didn't really like it. I'm probably one of the few people that doesn't like it though. It's one of the most popular NES games ever. If you want to play the game online, you can click here.
Someone made a stage papercraft of it! This contra stage looks pretty detailed for a NES stage :P
Have fun building it!

Duck Hunt

Well here is something different! Duckhunt from the old NES days. We have already seen some Mario stages, but this one is also pure nostalgic. Although the grass will be a pain to cut out perfectly, the end result will be really cool. Try using Ninjatoes' NES Zapper to kill those ducks!

Donkey Kong NES

Some more classic papercrafting! Here is a Donkey Kong stage from the game Donkey Kong (NO WAI!) I really dig this awesome game. It's a real classic, and the first game Mario appeared in. It's not the hardest papercraft out there, actually it's pretty easy. But it looks awesome, and will surely shine in your papercraft collection. Don't forget to refill your black cartridge though, it takes up quite some black ink.
